Sorry for the delay, but here we go - the final part of our journey.
This was one of our last photos we took on the trip. I decided to start with the "end photo" not just because I am easily influenced by poetic clichés, but because I have realizeed that blog's thumbnail is the first picture on this post and that an anti-climatic photo of us in a temple may reduce the number of views this page gets.
Good! So now you're this far into the blog you might as well keep on scrolling. As you may have noticed, both of the poncho-wearing athletes here are drenched as they cycled roughly 12km to a temple pit-stop. Believe me, the rain and the winds were unforgiving this time. This storm felt like you're physically being car-washed, yet our ladies stood strong!
Near the same temple lies a shop specialized in baking croissants and velvety "crossanticecream", both of which we zealously consumed in the name of the god of gluttony. The pastries manufactured there are shaped like water-buffalo heads, and fortunately tastes way better than the body part of the actual animal.
Here's something from Tiffany:
That concludes our cycling around Taiwan challenge. We are very grateful for your support along our journey. Over the past 9 days, I have learnt to reflect my place in the world and to stay resilient even when the task got challenging. I will never forget the times when my teeth wouldn't stop chattering as I cycled in the cold rain, the times when we fell asleep right away as soon as we arrived the hotel, and of course, the times when I talked to myself so that I wouldn't give up. Once again, thank you everyone for all your support, I really really appreciate it. We will update you on the donations as well as how it will be used. Currently, We are in the process of making a final video to record this trip, so stay tuned!
P.S. Shoutout to Mr. Thompson who inspired me with his Becak Charity Ride! Thanks for letting me know that even normal people like us can make a difference in other people's lives too!
